In 2003, its 10th year of operation, WRD was recognised for production, service and enterprise excellence with the national award of SMI Woman Entrepreneur of the Year 2003 (by current Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, who was represented by Datuk Chua Jui Meng, then Health Minister) to Miss eHong Tan, President of WRD. WRD was privileged to be nominated and judged for the award, which was stringently-audited by independent internationally-renowned Haworth International.

Also, in recognition of WRD's use of latest technology and quality excellence, the Malaysian Government awarded WRD almost RM1 million grant in 2003.

WRD is a patron member of the International Association of Die-Cutting and Die-Making (IADD) based in the USA, which allows it to keep abreast of the latest in die-making.
